On April 28, Sally Sears presented an impressive line-up of examples of all that the new Ralph & Marcia Sears Media Archive now offers online to the general public. On October 27, the Montevallo Historical Society hosted a special event at Montevallo City Cemetery to rededicate the recently restored Kroell / Jennett family burial plot. Seventeen descendants traveled to Montevallo to attend the event and to reunite with relatives not seen for many years. The restoration of the plot consisted of cleaning of heavily soiled stone markers as well as the installation of a new fence to replace the original. To conclude the program, Father Ray Dunmyer, a local Catholic priest, offered a prayer of blessing for the deceased and those in attendance.
